      Abstract

      The bilateral quadratic 7H7-series is examined and evaluated by making use of the Cauchy residue method. The main theorem presents an analytic formula for this series, which contains five closed summation formulae as consequences. Just like the classical hypergeometric series, these remarkable formulae should find potential applications in pure mathematics and theoretical physics.
